Garden glory for Biddulph and local youngsters
the team and local nursery did some gardening
Our recent heatwave has been a welcome delight, and it's only right that our wonderful colleagues took full advantage of the sunshine while supporting their community.
Last week, our Biddulph funeral home in Staffordshire joined up with their local nursery, Beaney's, and community gardener "Dave" to set up a stunning public garden for locals to admire.
The adorable youngsters donned high vis jackets and sun hats to plant an array of sensory and edible plants. They also put their building skills to the test with bird houses and bug hotels (yes, they really do exist!), providing shelter for the creepy crawlies.
They did a fantastic job and were able to enjoy some juice and biscuits in the sun afterwards as a well deserved treat.
The local community are really impressed and have welcomed the garden, many offering to help maintain it and having the luxury of being able to enjoy any fruit and veg that sprouts up.
Well done to the team at Biddulph for arranging such a fun day!
